Seafarers’ House Port Everglades

KEITH has proudly been a supporter of the Seafarers’ House at Port Everglades for decades. Having outgrown their 26-year-old facility, the KEITH Team provided in-kind professional services for the new $4.5 million facility, currently under construction, that will provide all the services previously offered in a new, more comfortable way. The house will serve as an education center, provide a café for hot meals, increased recreation areas, a chapel, and a meditation garden as a safe place for the international seafarers to relax and recharge while in Port. The KEITH Team provided a donation of time and talent for geospatial engineering services, civil engineering, and landscape architectural design.

Opening in the fall of 2022, the Seafarers’ House is more than a place of respite and recharge for over 150,000 visiting seafarers annually. It’s a place of welcome, a place to take care of practical needs, and a place to receive support.

The maritime and business communities recognize the important economic value seafarers bring to Broward County and have raised 80% of the finds to support the new programs and facilities. But there’s still time to make a difference! In addition to naming opportunities, the Seafarers’ House is also looking for in-kind donations for a foosball table, outdoor grilling/kitchen, stained glass windows, break room and outdoor furnishings, café tables, and restaurant equipment.
